Most shower problems don’t start with the tiles – they start underneath.
That’s something Super Shower Seal's owner, Mike King, learned early in his career, working with Beaumont Tiles during a time when waterproofing standards were being introduced across the industry.
As part of that shift, Mike trained builders and tilers in how to properly waterproof wet areas – developing a deep understanding of how showers are built, how they fail, and where problems begin.
From training tilers to repairing showers
Over that time, Mike saw the industry evolve, from a period where waterproofing standards were minimal, through to the introduction of proper codes and training.
That experience gave him a clear understanding of why shower problems occur... whether it’s older construction, poor workmanship, or materials that have simply worn out over time.
In 2000, Mike and his wife, Sally, established their own business, focusing on waterproofing work for builders across South Australia.
A few years later, they acquired Super Shower Seal – a local brand that aligned with the growing demand for shower repairs – and began focusing more on helping homeowners fix existing problems properly.
A local SA business, built on trust
Today, Super Shower Seal is a small, family-run business, operated by Mike and Sally King and their son, Tim.
Based in Noarlunga in Southern Adelaide, the Super Shower Seal team services homes across Adelaide – from the metro area through to Strathalbyn, Victor Harbor and surrounding towns and suburbs.
